The Process
Every print begins in my studio, where traditional printmaking meets contemporary experimentation.
Although my artistic language is minimalist, the process behind each print is rich in craftsmanship. I work with professional printmaking inks, carefully preparing each colour before it is transferred onto the printing matrix. Every impression is printed on a traditional etching press, where pressure brings together ink, paper, and matrix to create the final image.
Unlike digital reproductions, every print is the result of a physical process. The interaction between the ink, the pressure of the press, and the paper gives each work a depth, texture, and presence that cannot be replicated by digital printing.
My practice is rooted in the tradition of relief printmaking, yet I continuously experiment with new possibilities. During my studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, I was encouraged to question established methods and develop my own artistic approach. That freedom remains at the heart of my work today, allowing tradition and experimentation to exist side by side.
The studio is more than a workspace - it is where ideas are tested, techniques evolve, and every print takes shape through a sequence of deliberate, hands-on decisions. From preparing the inks and composing the matrix to printing each edition on the press, every stage is an essential part of the finished artwork.
Each print you see is an original work of art, created using traditional printmaking techniques & a new experimental approach to linocut - rather than just a digital reproduction.
